Snowmatch · version 2026-08-1

1. What Snowmatch is

SNOWMATCH is an information and listing utility. It publishes crowd-sourced snow accumulation reports and lets people post snow work and contact each other. We are not a snow removal company, a staffing agency, an employer or a contractor.

2. Plain-language summary

  • SNOWMATCH is a listing and data tool. We do not employ, screen, supervise, insure or dispatch anyone.
  • All prices are offers between users. We never process payment for snow work — you settle directly, off-platform.
  • Tokens only unlock contact details. Buying a token never buys a completed job.
  • Property damage, injury, no-shows and payment disputes are between the poster and the worker.
  • Keep contact details out of public descriptions — we automatically mask what we detect and may remove posts.

3. What tokens buy

Tokens unlock the contact details attached to a listing. They do not reserve, claim or guarantee work, and they are not a deposit against the job price. A listing is only removed from the map when the poster confirms the claim or the completion.

4. Payments for snow work

Prices shown are offers between users. Snowmatch does not collect, hold, escrow or disburse payment for snow work, and it does not mediate pricing disputes. Optional platform fees (priority posting, tokens, subscriptions) are for placement and access only.

5. Responsibility and risk

Users are responsible for their own conduct, equipment, insurance, taxes and legal compliance. Snow work carries real risk of injury and property damage. Snowmatch does not screen, verify, train, supervise or insure any user, and disclaims liability for injury, damage, loss, non-payment, no-shows and anything agreed off-platform, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. Accumulation reports

Depth reports are user-submitted, timestamped estimates. They are not official measurements and must not be used for insurance, municipal-compliance or safety-critical decisions. Weather warnings shown in-app are informational; always confirm with your national weather service.

7. Minors

Junior accounts are for users under 16 and require parent or guardian approval. Junior accounts are limited to residential listings inside a 1.5 km radius and cannot access commercial routes. Guardians are responsible for supervising junior activity. See the safety rules.

8. Prohibited use

No fake listings, no contact details hidden inside descriptions, no harassment, no scraping of the depth dataset, no soliciting minors, and no refund farming. We may relock leads, remove listings, revoke tokens obtained through abuse, or close accounts.

9. Refunds

Dead-lead refunds return the token spent on a lead that could not be reached. Refunds are rate-limited and reviewed. Fees paid for priority placement and subscription periods already delivered are non-refundable.

10. Changes

These terms may change; continued use after an update means acceptance. Current version: 2026-08-1.
