Safety Rules
Snowmatch · version 2026-08-1
Junior shovelers (under 16)
- A parent or guardian must approve the account and know every address before you go.
- Daylight and residential driveways only — commercial routes and machinery stay locked.
- Work stays inside your 1.5 km safety radius so someone can reach you fast.
- Never enter a home, garage or vehicle. Tell an adult where you are working.
- Agree the price before starting, and leave immediately if anything feels wrong.
Everyone on the board
- Agree the price, the surface and the finish time before any work starts.
- Do not clear roofs, ice dams or anything requiring a ladder unless you are insured and trained for it.
- Keep contact details out of public descriptions — unlock the lead instead.
- Snowmatch does not supervise, verify or insure work. Use your own judgement and your own coverage.
Report a listing or a user
Every job card has a report control. We review reports for these reasons:
- Contact details hidden in the description
- Suspected scam or fake listing
- Harassment or unsafe behaviour
- Unsafe request for a minor
- Duplicate or spam posting
If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
